Supporting Women with One Pre-op Care Package at a Time
Chest of Courage provides pre-op care packages for patients who are having major breast reconstruction surgery.
In 2024 we delivered 105 care packages and 130 support bags. As of
April 2025 we have delivered 28 support bags.

To help reduce the stress and anxiety of patients getting ready for breast reconstruction surgery by providing adequate material, guidance, and encouragement in the form of a pre-op care package.

Getting ready for surgery can be stressful. Chest of Courage’s goal is to help reduce the stress and anxiety that someone might feel while preparing for surgery and providing them with support and encouragement for a successful recovery one pre-op care package at a time. Each item in the package has a purpose to help patients prepare for what they might need not only at the hospital but also for at home during their recovery.
