Meet The Team

Donna Fruehauf

President

I’m Donna Fruehauf, the founder and President of Chest of Courage. I started my prophylactic breast reconstruction journey at the age of 40. With the love and support of not only my beautiful daughter Ashley, my incredible Mom, family, friends, and wonderful medical team I was able to heal and overcome any obstacle that came my way through the years. I don’t know where I would be without them and am forever grateful for each and every person who has been there for me. They inspired me with their kindness, love, and support so much so that I wanted to give back and help others like they helped me. With careful thought, planning, and consideration Chest of Courage came to light and was established. You see, with a little bit of courage anything is possible!

Ashley Fruehauf

Secretary/Treasurer

Hi there! My name is Ashley Fruehauf and I am the Secretary for Chest of Courage. My mother, Donna Fruehauf, is my inspiration and founder of this wonderful organization. I am so proud to be a part of something so special! A few fun facts about me are that I have a golden retriever named Riley and I’m the owner of a small handmade jewelry business.

Jane Krolczyk

Director

My name is Jane Krolczyk. I am very proud, fortunate, and blessed to be Donna’s mother. It’s a pleasure to be a part of Donna’s effort to let others know that Courage comes in many forms and shapes as she discovered in her journey of healing. As I try to cheer people up with my crocheting hobby we all do our part to let others know we love them well from the heart.

Steven Krolczyk

Director

My name is Steven Krolczyk. I have a Bachelors of Science degree from Oakland University. I am an Asset Resolution Specialist for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. I enjoy being active in the gym and in the outdoors. I love spending time with my German Short Hair Pointer, Heidi. Being a part of Chest of Courage gives me an opportunity to help and support not only my sister, but also help others know that they are not alone in their battle of breast cancer and the surgeries they are up against.

Dana Floyd

Director

Hi there! My name is Dana and I am a native Michigander. Like the mitten shape of my home state, I find the idea of being a warm helping hand inspiring! My love of shopping has escalated into a career of sourcing and procuring products that make a difference. The strength and resilience shown by my friend Donna during her journey through a double mastectomy and multiple other surgeries drives me to want to give more people the tools to find the stamina and power within themselves. In my spare time, you can find me snuggled with my two chihuahuas and making up ridiculous songs about how fluffy they are.
